Dr. Jie Wu is an Associate Researcher at City University of Hong Kong Shenzhen Research Institute. He holds a Ph.D. in Sports Science and Engineering from Kyungil University (South Korea), an M.S. in Sports Engineering from Harbin Sport University, and a B.A. in Physical Education from Anshun University. His research focuses on flexible wearable sensors utilizing conductive hydrogels, human-computer interaction, second-skin applications in sports and medicine, artificial intelligence in sports training, and sports injury prevention and rehabilitation.

He has published 18 papers as first or corresponding author in leading journals including ACS Applied Materials & Interfaces (IF=8.2), International Journal of Biological Macromolecules (IF=8.5), Journal of Colloid and Interface Science (IF=9.7), ACS Sustainable Chemistry & Engineering (IF=7.2), and International Journal of Smart and Nano Materials (IF=6.6). Developing multi-functional hydrogel-based flexible sensors for human motion detection, human-machine interaction, and winter sports applications. Investigating anti-freezing, anti-swelling, and self-adhesive hydrogel systems enhanced by natural biomaterials.
